Popular

McCabe and I can't find Marc anywhere--rumor ties him to some unknown woman who can't be human--but I seem to be popular with everyone else in California. We arrived home half an hour ago to find the light on the comm flashing like a warning beacon. All the messages were for me. Damn good thing I left it at home because it would have been ringing nonstop all night.

Kimi called three times. She wants to talk to me about Nic.

Uncle Paul called twice. He wants to talk to me about Kimi.

Dad called half a dozen times. He wants to talk to me about Kimi and Nic.

Even Nic managed to figure out how to work the comm and call. He wants to talk to me about my dad and our mom. And Kimi.

I won't even mention what happened when Conor left me at the bar while he checked out the rest of the club.

I'm in high demand, but the only one I'm dealing with right now is my vishtau mate. He needs me and the rest of them can wait.

I am worried about Marc - he's occupied? What the hell does that mean?
Popular... hmm you've gotta stop chatting with me woman. I have found myself popular as of late ~ some friends warned I asked for it.
Oh please let me know about your club experiance it might cheer up my day.
I will again extend my invite to comment over on my journal...

I wouldn't worry about Hayes. The man's getting laid, and if he's busy in bed, he's not hunting demons. That can only be a good thing with the Dark Ones loose in the city. Mika's already argued that the woman isn't human. So what? Hayes is a slayer. He can take care of himself.

Sorry but I agree with Mika, that woman's not human. Something about her makes me uneasy. Even a slayer wrapped up in a mind bend of something not human can get himself into a lot of trouble. I won't stop worrying about him as long as he's missing. I might not be a really close friend but I am protective since he reminds me a little of myself(except the demon slaying thing.)

See, McCabe? I'm not the only one who's worried. If she's demon and concealing it, Marc is in way over his head.

Honey, it's like I told you last night--there's no reason to assume she's a demon (or anything else for that matter) just because Hayes is acting out of character. People deal with grief in different ways, and yeah, sex is one of them. He'll surface in a few days, the worst of the anger about his sister's death burned out of him, and then he'll begin grieving more normally. You'll see.

Hayes is not acting like a man dealing with grief. Even if he's having great sex he has to come up for air once in awhile. Also what if he doesn't surface in a few days? Why aren't you more worried? Perhaps the woman was working with B-ops they wanted him dragged in pretty bad.

I doubt she's B-Ops. Hayes knows too many people for them to risk trying to sneak someone past him. You and Mika need to chill out. Why do women worry so much? If it makes you feel better, I'm going out again after the game to look for him.

I saw that, McCabe!

Maybe we worry because our intuition is highly tuned, unlike men who drink beer and watch silly football games.

First, it's beer from a microbrewery. Second, we're talking Superbowl here, Mika. While I"m watching the game, maybe you can check into a cheerleader's outfit?

Do you seriously think you can divert me that easily? Besides, I can shop online and nag you simultaneously.

Honey, as long as you wait for the commercials, you can nag all you want.

Who are you rooting for? I suspect some of those boys are demons or vampires, such examples of brute strength almost inhuman. By the way we worry because we care. Thank you Mccabe for going out after the game. I'de bat my eyelashes but Im not that cute. Hey Mika go get the cheerleader outfit..it might distract him from the game.

And let me add...if Hayes isn't watching the game that woman is inhuman because who else other than a demon could mesmerize a man away from the SUPERBOWL?

I believe that Conor is rooting for the west coast team. And I have a cheerleading costume ready for halftime. Judging by the cursing I'm hearing, it's a good thing I ran out during the game to pick it up. Think this will take his mind off football?

Costume

I love it...might have to wear one of those to the club tonight. I think the West Coast team is making a comeback..might have some celebration in your house later tonight.

Or I might have a grumpy vishtau mate grumbling as he gets ready to go searching for Marc. Why take a silly game so seriously?

I'm accompanying Conor, although he's specifically not said "we" once today. I think that's because he's still unhappy about what happened at the club. He'll get over it, and I don't think he's concerned enough about who Marc is mixed up with. If I'm right about that, I have to watch Conor's back.

Did this incident at the club involve a vampire and demon? I witnessed something not sure what the hell it was though.
I might see you out I am heading out to the club right now.
I should stay home but even here's not safe from visitors.
Quit sulking Conor, if you find out Marc is safe you can tell us all I told you so.

No, no vampires were involved. I don't have time to go into detail since I'm sitting in the pickup, using the comm while I wait for Conor. He only ran inside for a minute and if he catches me online, he'll say I should stay home if I want to play.

Oops! Gotta go!

Its too early for both of you to be awake(hell I don't know what I am thinking.) But any news on Hayes? I believe I saw you and Mccabe stop in for a drink at one of the clubs last night. It looked as though Mccabe was grinding his teeth so he must have still been torked about having to chase down Hayes. You know he loves you when he's being sent out on a mission he doesn't believe is necessary. Women..what ever will you do with her Mccabe? :)

We found someone who saw Hayes with this woman and described her. It was the last detail the person mentioned that has me extremely concerned--long hair with two small braids on either side of her face. That's bad enough, but when I questioned him about it, he said there was something metallic woven into the braid.

McCabe says I'm overreacting, that it doesn't necessarily mean what I think it does. But he's worried now too, although he won't admit it. He doesn't want Hayes tangled up with one of the dark demons any more than I do.

Ha Ha ha can I say I told you so to Mccabe then? Please please let me take a minute from my worrying to gloat. Wonderful one of the city's finest gets himself wrapped up with a dark demon things will become unbalanced quick. I didn't like the metalic things woven in her hair when he first posted that. See Mccabe never underestimate a women's intuition.

Alright Mika and Mccabe don't make me start worrying about the both of you too. You've both gotten really quiet. All this talk of an unknown darkdemon is setting me on edge.
